At Sky City Starlight Symphony 2002, four unsuspecting kiwi singers donned tight white polyester flares and silly wigs to perform a medley of ABBA’s greatest hits and 200,000 people went wild! Having unleashed this torrent of Abbamania, this stunned and stunning quartet felt compelled to ride the wave and form ABBALICIOUS; a loving tribute to the one and only Swedish supergroup. It’s a tough job Stig, but Jackie Clarke, Keri Harper, Olaf John and Craig Muller are up to it!
In the stressful hurly burly that is the noughties, ABBALICIOUS is a musical escape to a simpler time and place where sugar pop, 100% synthetic costumes and cheesy choreography rule!

ABBALICIOUS sing and dance their way through a 90-minute show of ABBA’s greatest hits. All the classics are there; Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Mamma Mia and Fernando plus some tasty rare treats from the ABBA songbook. Not only that, the ABBALICIOUS show concludes with an absolutely random but fabulous foray into the repertoire of the B52s (complete with Beehive wigs and more bad polyester!) rounded off by some delicious dance classics ABBA may have covered if that messy thing called divorce hadn’t reared it’s ugly head!
ABBALICIOUS’ career highlights so far include appearances at the 2006 Mussel Festival in Havelock, 2005 Lakeside ‘Encore’ concert in Rotorua with Sir Howard Morrison, 2004 Porirua Festival of the Elements, the 2003 NBR Stadium Spectacular, 2002 Starlight Symphony, the Queenstown Winter Festival 2002 and regular appearances at Sky City Casino.
